Music Therapy Centre
Located in downtown Toronto, the Music Therapy Centre has been a cornerstone of our mission for over 20 years. As one of our longest-running projects, the Centre offers affordable, accessible music therapy sessions delivered by a compassionate team of Certified Music Therapists.
Opening the Centre
Fran Herman, Certified Music Therapist and Canadian music therapy trailblazer, spearheaded the creation of the Music Therapy Centre. Fran, on behalf of the Canadian Music Therapy Fund, mobilized the Canadian music industry to raise the funds necessary to open the music therapy centre in 2001.
The centre has been open ever since, offering accessible music therapy services and serving as the headquarters of the CMTF. Fran’s dedication to making music therapy accessible for all shaped the Centre and inspired its mission, leaving behind a legacy that continues to thrive today.

An Accessible centre in the heart of Toronto
The Music Therapy Centre is located in the heart of downtown Toronto (Bloor and Dufferin) where we welcome clients for in-person sessions throughout the week. Our space is fully accessible with wide hallways, rooms, and a bathroom large enough to accommodate most mobility devices. Our front door is automated and can be opened with a button. There are no bumps or barriers to crossing the threshold. If you have any questions or concerns about the accessibility of our space, please reach out to us to discuss any accommodations you may need.
